v0.2.3 - Pre-Level 2 Improvements!


So it's been a lil bit. No work has been done on level 2 yet, because I wanted to make some much needed improvements first. These are:

  • Animated all bullets but the Antivirus ones to make them more visible (I'm really proud of these animations. Especially the white blood cell erase animation, which I based on microscope footage of an actual white blood cell dying).
  • Slightly debuffed player shot.
  • Increased charge time of boss laser and slowed them down, mostly because they made me salty while testing.
  • Balanced player's weapon sounds so they wouldn't drown out telegraph sounds
  • Boosted volume of boss laser sounds
  • Wacky effects for boss warning graphics
  • Improved readability of highscore input selection menu
  • Various bugfixes


Unless any major bugs are discovered, this will be the last of the updates before the Level 2 update. I'll give it a maximum of one year before release. If 4/30/2026 passes without level 2 gracing your computers, you are legally allowed to barge through my door and eat all of my cheez-its.
